Personal TrainingPersonal Training offers a tailor-made package of interventions designed to help clients address issues in their lives. It may include participation in classes or be exclusively for the individual or couple. Content of sessions may include Nordic Walking, Pilates, Tai Chi or circuit-based formats and will also include monitoring of blood pressure, weight/fat change or other relevant markers to the individual. At Prehab-Rehab the intention is generally to help the individual access group activities rather than to retain a dependence on the trainer. This may be done in one or two sessions, or as a gradual transition according to individual needs and abilities.
As an initial entry into exercise and activity for those wary of gyms and leisure centres, personal training can be undertaken at the Studio or on a house-call basis. It is ideal to improve health in anticipation of surgery, or for post-hospital recovery and more medical professionals are using exercise as a major support for their patients before, during and after treatment. Research shows the benefits of activity for so many chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, overweight and obesity – no wonder health professionals are increasingly recommending it to improve patients’ physical and mental health.
